Freshman/New Student Orientations

*Please attend the session that corresponds with the middle school you attended for 8th grade. If you are new to RCPS, please choose any date.

All dates are 5-7 p.m. at Patrick Henry High School

• Thursday, August 1: Woodrow Wilson
• Tuesday, August 6: John P. Fishwick, Lucy Addison, James Breckinridge
• Wednesday, August 7: James Madison  

Business Day

Thursday, August 15, 12-7 p.m.

• Pick up student schedules
• Make schedule changes
• Apply for early release (seniors only)
• Pay student fees/dues

Class Fees

• Underclass: $30
• Seniors: $50
• PTSA Dues: $5
• Yearbooks: $60

Back to School Night

Thursday, August 15, 5-7 p.m.

• Updates and changes: 5, 5:30, and 6 p.m. in the auditorium with Mr. Booan
• Meet and Greet: 5-6:50 p.m.
  • Visit classrooms to meet teachers
  • Fill out school forms/paperwork
  • Pick up class schedules
  • Pay dues and fees with the bookkeeper
  • Meet with clubs and special programs (AVID, ROTEC/DAYTEC, JROTC)
  • ID photos
• Conclusion: 6:50-7 p.m.
