Patricia Maxey has served as the Program Director of Forest Park Academy since the 2021-2022 school year.  Prior to joining the Panther family, Mrs. Maxey served Roanoke City Public schools as an assistant principal of William Fleming High School, administrator on assignment with the High School Virtual Academy, and teacher at Patrick Henry High School.  

Ms. Maxey has 26 years of extensive experience in education in both Virginia and North Carolina.

Jean Dixon has been the Assistant Principal of Forest Park Academy since the 2022-2023 school year.  Ms. Dixon has served the families in Roanoke City Public Schools in various roles since 1997 which include:  classroom teacher at both Lucy Addison and Woodrow Wilson middle schools, Teacher on Assignment at Woodrow Wilson Middle School, Assistant Principal at Lucy Addison Middle School, and Dean of Students at William Fleming High School.

Throughout her time with Roanoke City Public Schools, Ms. Dixon has honed a skill set that allows her to understand the academic, emotional, and social needs of students.  Her work with students, staff, and parents at both the middle and high school levels, has allowed Ms. Dixon to be an advocate for students in and out of the school building.  Ms. Dixon enjoys integrating her love of learning and student advocacy in a non-traditional school environment.
