English: Students will find their voice as they explore the seven continents and learn how people share stories around the world. They will discover the benefits of working together and learn how their talents can benefit their community. Students will read, write, and discuss daily!

Math: Students will find their voice as they write and speak about math. Students will use books to explore and discuss math concepts. They will investigate making sense of numbers, journal problem-solving strategies, build with engineering blocks, and learn from fun dice and card games that they can play with their families.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics): Students will engage in STEAM time each day. Science and experiments will play a key role this summer. Students will also benefit from art, music, and physical education. Students will find their voice in robotics and engineering challenges, virtual reality, coding, and science experiments. English: Students will read stories to discover and examine different writers’ voices. Students will learn about challenging circumstances in historical contexts. They will find their own voices through daily writing opportunities and projects using different ways of communicating. Fun learning activities will help students develop their vocabulary and strengthen English skills while expressing themselves creatively.

Math: Students will find their voice as they write and speak about math! Our RCPS+ math curriculum will help students see how math is relevant in the real world. Students will also experience how math is used everywhere. This will enrich students’ thinking and ability to discuss their understanding of math and build on what they have previously learned.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics): Each day students will engage in STEAM time. Two-week units will allow students to explore robotics, scientific experimentation, coding, and other related fields. Students will work on an urban heat study. As part of the study, they will collect live temperature data and study their neighborhoods.
