William Fleming honors two legends

Coach Stuart and Coach Miller holding framed pictures and plaquesIt was a special night at William Fleming High School as the community came together to honor Coach Sherley Stuart and George "killer" Miller.  During the Fleming/Lord Boetourt game, the track was named after Coach Stuart and the football field in honor of Coach Miller.  At a public hearing earlier this school year, nearly a hundred people spoke in favor of honoring these two legends.

Both coached hundreds of athletes during their time at William Fleming.  But Stuart and Miller were more than just coaches.  Many former students say they both had good character and offered good advice.  Stuart and Miller served as father figures for plenty of Colonels over the years.

Coach Stuart and Miller received a framed picture and plaque during the dedication ceremony.  Congratulations to both men and THANK YOU for your years of service to William Fleming High School.
