Red Ribbon Week 2018

Three Lucy Addison Middle School students dressed as superheroes for Red Ribbon WeekRed Ribbon Week was a success!  It was a time for students to pledge to stay drug-free.  This year's theme was "Life is Your Journey.  Travel Drug-free."

Many of our elementary and middle schools had events each day to celebrate Red Ribbon Week.  On Monday, students at Morningside Elementary wore pajamas because "they dream bigger thank drugs."  At Round Hill Elementary, staff and students wore tied dyed shirts to "peace out to drugs."

Tuesday, there were plenty of superheroes at Roanoke Academy and Virginia Heights Elementary to show "you have the power to say no to drugs."

It was Mix Match Wednesday at James Breckinridge Middle, Preston Park Elementary, and Lincoln Terrace Elementary to highlight "kids and drugs don't match."

Thursday, it was Spirit Day at Westside Elementary.  Each grade level wore a different color.  It was Twin Day at Highland Park Elementary.  Students & staff demonstrated positive peer pressure.  Kudos to the student who dressed like Principal Crummey.
