Read Across America 2018

Group of pre-school students at Morningside Elementary wearing Dr. Seuss hats.Read Across America was one for the history books.  Many of our elementary schools celebrated the life of Dr. Seuss with various activities throughout the week to highlight the importance of reading.

Round Hill Elementary had "Mixed up Monday."  Students and staff wore clothes that are inside out and don't match.  At Monterey Elementary, they wore green to honor "Green Eggs and Ham."  Tuesday, students and staff at Fishburn Park & Fallon Park Elementary Schools wore crazy hats and hair.  Wednesday, there were plenty of moustaches at Westside Elementary to celebrate "The Lorax."  Thursday, students at Hurt Park Elementary wore stripes for Dr. Seuss.  Some schools even made actual green eggs and ham!
