At the Grand Caverns, students explored the limestone caverns and participated in several hands-on activities.  They learned earth patterns, cycles, and change--all topics that are on the 5th grade Science SOL.

The group spent the second half of the day at the Frontier Culture Museum.  It was a great way for students to learn about the western expansion within Virginia.

Third graders will soon travel to Monticello and the University of Virginia.  Fourth graders will take a field trip to Jamestown.
