Forest Park Academy celebrates 10th anniversary

Forest Park graduate hugging Dr. Anderson, the principalForest Park Academy (FPA) honored its 10th graduating class at a special ceremony at the Jefferson CenterFPA started a decade ago to help students who had dropped out or were in danger of leaving school.  Today, it is a specialized school that helps students graduate, no matter the challenges. 

In the last ten years, more than 1,100 students have graduated from Forest Park Academy.  The program is the only one of its kind in the Commonwealth of Virginia. 

“Go out and tell somebody that this is not a school for bad students.“We are a school for students who are going places and doing great things," said Program Director Eric Anderson.
