Fire Prevention Week Art Contest Winners

Group shot of all the Fire Prevention Week Art Contest Winners and Roanoke Fire Chief David HobackSeconds count, have two ways out.  That was the theme of the 13th annual Fire Prevention Week Art Contest.  It is sponsored by Roanoke Fire-EMS and the Rockingham Group.

The Fire Department saw a record number of entries this year.  65 elementary, middle, and high school students submitted art work.  There were 21 winners.

The students were honored during a special reception at Fire Station Number Five where their artwork was on display.  They also received gift bags full of goodies.  The students and their families were treated to a free meal, that included barbeque, pizza, and Chick-Fil-A.
