Fallon Park Elementary receives a special gift
Posted on 10/22/2018
Fallon Park Elementary principal Fallon Park's principal was all bundled up as she walked into FedEx Field for the Redskins/Cowboys Game.  It was a chilly 50 degrees.  What happened at half-time warmed Ms. Mitchem's heart.  It will certainly warm yours.

Fallon Park Elementary received a $2,000 grant from the Washington Redskins Foundation to purchase a new washer and dryer for the school.  The Loads of Love (LOL) Program was started by Redskins player Nick Sundberg and his wife.

Fallon Park Elementary was one of 42 organizations to receive a grant this year.  Principal Mitchem represented Fallon Park Elementary during a presentation on the field at half-time.

The school's current washer and dryer is so old it is only used to wash clothes for pre-school students.  The new equipment will allow the school to help students in all grades.
