Napoleon Jones-Henderson posing with a group of William Fleming High School students. The artist calls them "collaborators."  Napoleon Jones-Henderson is a Boston based artist selected to create public art for the new Melrose Library on Melrose Avenue.

Three curving and colorful sculptures will be placed in front of the new facility.  This latest public art is called "Rhapsody Between the Pages."  The sculptures will appear to dance as you walk into the new Northwest Roanoke library.  Here are renderings of the new library and sculptures:

The artist is working with students from Hurt Park Elementary and William Fleming High School.  The students created their own colorful drawings, which will be used for inspiration for the sculptures.

We can't wait to see this masterpiece once it is completed.
