Addison students holding a ceremonial check for $9,000.The Virginia Lottery has launched a new program called "Made in Virginia."  It honors exceptional individuals who got their start in Virginia public schools.

There are four winners state-wide.  The recipient from Southwest Virginia is Rachel Bray, a volunteer at Lucy Addison Middle.  She gifted $9,000 in prizes to Addison Middle.  The school receives $4,000 in school supplies from The Supply Room and $5,000 to address specific needs at Addison.

A crew filmed the check presentation at Lucy Addison Middle.  The commercial, featuring Ms. Bray and Addison students, will air across the Commonwealth starting in January.

Thank you Ms. Bray for your commitment to Lucy Addison Middle and to the Virginia Lottery for the generous gift.
