Strategic Plan

The Roanoke City School Board approved the Roadmap to Student Success on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. This plan will guide Roanoke City Public Schools’ path forward for the next six years. 

We are grateful to the many stakeholders who gave their time and talents in the development of this plan. Community members, parents and guardians, partners of RCPS, students, and staff all played a role. As we often say, We Are One. We believe this plan showcases the importance of working together as one for the benefit of our students. 

This is the beginning of a journey. The plan will be our roadmap that guides us, and every two years we are going to pause and progress monitor. We will see where we are and if we need to adjust course, we will. This is about ensuring our students have a Roadmap to Success.
