Roanoke City Public Schools offers summer school programming for all grade levels! Registration for summer programs will open in spring 2023.

RCPS+: RCPS+ is a rich instructional program designed to provide motivational, engaging, and hands-on activities for students in a supportive environment. The program engages students in relevant, problem-solving activities that promote critical thinking and creativity to enrich the learning experiences of all students. High School Summer School: Credit recovery and summer enrichment opportunities are available for high school students.

Summer Reading Program: Students who read 600 minutes over six weeks and submit a reading log receive free prizes! The Summer Reading Program is open to students in all grades. Please revisit this webpage in the spring for more information about the 2023 Summer Reading Program.
 
Summer Extracurriculars: Roanoke City Public Schools also offers additional extracurriculars for rising 5th through 8th graders interested in the fine arts and/or athletics.
