Required Documents
Parents/guardians must upload the following during online registration:
- Birth certificate (state-issued; hospital records are not accepted)
- Proof of residency (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement)
- Parent/guardian photo ID
- Immunization record
- Physical exam report (completed within 12 months before the first day of school)
Registration Instructions
- Existing RCPS pre-K students: Students currently attending pre-K in Roanoke City Public Schools are not required to register to enter kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year.
- New to RCPS? Create a ParentVUE account starting February 23 to register.
- Have a child already enrolled in RCPS? Log in to ParentVUE to add your incoming student. If you haven't activated your account, contact your school for an activation key.
Important: If you need to pause, click “log out” in the upper right corner. To resume, log back in and select “resume registration.” You cannot return to your application once it is submitted.
