Principal – Jonathan Rosser

Welcome, I am Jonathan Rosser and I am excited to serve as the Principal.  I am a product of Roanoke city, graduating from William Fleming in 1995.  I have my B.S. from Old Dominion University in Physical Education and a M.Ed. from Regent University in Educational Leadership. This is my 21st year teaching in Roanoke City Public Schools, 16 as a PE teacher and 5 as an administrator.  I truly have a passion with working for our youth.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family.  I look forward to serving you this upcoming school year.

Assistant Principal – April Young

I am very excited to be a part of the Bulldog family. I have always dedicated myself to learning and teaching. As part of the journey, I earned my Masters in Administration and Supervision from Radford University, Masters in Special Education from Old Dominion University and Bachelors of Science in Social Work from Ferrum College. I have 25 years of experience in the education field.

As a member of the administrative team at Addison, I will strive to ensure that your children will be provided with a great middle school educational experience. Those that will prepare them for their future endeavors. I will continuously work to be a positive, supportive influence in this process and look forward to making a difference in the lives of many students!

Assistant Principal - Salvatore D'Angelo

My name is Salvatore D’Angelo, and I am very excited to begin my second year as assistant principal at Lucy Addison Middle School.  I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, Masters of Education degree, and Administration Certification all from James Madison University.  In my spare time I enjoy watching sports, hiking, and spending time with my family.

As assistant principal, my number one goal is to ensure the safety of all my students.  I will work closely with students, teachers, and families to ensure success within Lucy Addison that will translate to success within the community.  If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  I am looking forward to beginning what will be one of the best academic years here at Lucy Addison.  Go Bulldogs!
