Governor's School Informational Meetings

Student and teacher from the Governor's School working on a Science ProjectThe Roanoke Valley Governor's School for Science and Technology serves 270 students from seven localities, including Roanoke City.  Students attend for half of their school day at the Governor's School, taking technology-infused science and math classes, and a research elective.

The Governor's School will host a series of informational meetings about the program for the 2020-2021 School Year.  Parents and prospective students, beginning in the 8th grade, are encouraged to attend any of these sessions:

Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Staunton River High School (this was postponed).

Thursday, January, 9, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Governor's School

Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Franklin County High School

Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Governor's School

Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Governor's School
