New Patrick Henry Football Coach Alan Fiddler Welcomed by Players and Faculty Today at Gainer Field
Alan Fiddler, who comes from Glenville, West Virginia, will officially be welcomed as Patrick Henry High School’s head football coach during a 2pm conference at Gainer field today. Patrick Henry’s principal, athletic director along with RCPS school board members, players and administrators will meet and greet the Patriots’ new football coach.
Fiddler’s most recent coaching experience is as the head coach for the Glenville State College Pioneers. Fiddler, who was a quarterback for the Pioneers from 1984 to 1987, had been the head coach since 2004. In seven seasons, his overall record was 45-32. According to GSC officials, this is a school record for the most wins by any other coach in their first seven years.
Under Fiddler's leadership, the Pioneers won the WVIAC Championship in 2008. Fiddler also has high school coaching experience at several schools throughout West Virginia.
The coach will be available for media interviews during the conference.
