DATE/TIME:  August 28, 2010, 9-11 a.m.
DETAILS:  Parents and students will have the opportunity to get free school supplies at the 8th Annual Back to School Extravaganza.  The event will be held on Saturday, August 28 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Patrick Henry High School.

A bag of free basic school supplies will be distributed to every child who attends the Back-to-School Extravaganza and presents their invitation postcard.
Transportation will be provided from seven of Roanoke's housing communities. Roanoke City Public School buses will depart from the front of each Community Center beginning at 8:30 a.m., leaving on the half-hour and returning on the hour.
Most of the school supplies distributed to students come from the Q-99 Pack the Bus event.
