![]() I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the Principal of James Madison Middle School. As the principal, my goal is to work with the Madison Community in providing quality educational opportunities, setting high expectations, and creating a caring community for all students. My background includes eighteen years of professional experience in the field of education, working as a teacher and administrator with students, parents, staff, and community groups in diverse educational settings. I have an Bachelor's Degree in Education from the Virginia Tech--GO HOKIES-- and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University. Our staff and parent community at Madison are what make this place so special. Our staff is student-centered, caring, and motivated toward the success of all students. Our parents are very supportive and actively help out with many activities throughout the school. The students are why we are here. They not only excel academically, but are also learning about respect, ethical values, and social skills, which we at James Madison Middle School consider to be equally important. We strive to create an environment where students feel safe, comfortable, and respected. I encourage you to find our more about James Madison Middle School.
