THE RCPS HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT PLAN Employ the highest quality of personnel, consistent with local policies, needs, and resources. Provide effective orientation programs for all personnel so that they enter the workforce with confidence and knowledge of the Division and of their job responsibilities. Administer personnel evaluation systems that have as their goal the professional growth of the employee. Maintain active recruiting and search efforts to ensure that every applicant pool is representative of ethnic diversity. Involve all appropriate audiences in the applicant process. Administer personnel regulations, policies, and procedures in an effective, efficient, and confidential manner, while maintaining sensitivity to ethical and legal issues. Maintain a system of contingency planning in order to be responsive to the changing character of instructional programs and the uncertainty of financial resources. Provide knowledgeable and reliable support to others when helping to resolve personnel issues. Seek desirable employee benefits in an effort to recruit and retain excellent staff in all areas of service to students. Provide opportunities for the continued development of instructional and administrative leadership skills to ensure a competitive internal pool of applicants for future leadership positions.
