Roanoke's Graduation Rate Increases

"I'm very proud of our students, our teachers and outreach workers who work everyday to ensure that our students graduate on-time.  We will continue to improve every year," said Superintendent Rita Bishop.

Forest Park Academy is a big reason for the increase.  It is a school for high school students who thrive in a smaller environment.  The school averages 100 graduates each year.  This spring, Forest Park is expected to reach 1,000 graduates since it opened in 2009.
