Facts for Families about SodexoMAGIC

cafeteria worker taking out a pan from the ovenSodexoMAGIC now provides meals to teachers and students at all of our schools.  SodexoMAGIC prepared meals for students during RCPS+ and it was a smooth transition.  We received positive feedback from students, parents, and administrators.  We believe the partnership with SodexoMAGIC will lead to better food quality, more choices, and healthier options for your child.

Here is some helpful information about the partnership:

Student account numbers will not change and all monies will carryover.  Please visit MySchoolBucks
to set up and account to view and manage your student's breakfast and lunch purchases. 

School meal prices are set by the Virginia Department of Education and the School Board, not SodexoMAGIC.  Here are meal prices for the 2016-2017 school year:

Elementary lunch $2.25

Secondary lunch $2.35

Reduced lunch is $0.40

Paid breakfast is $1.05

Reduced breakfast is $0.30


SodexoMAGIC has hired a chef to train and develop team members.

    If your child has allergies, all those records will be transferred. 

    A wellness team of three Registered Dietitians will administer the fresh Fruit and Vegetables Grant, work with the school nurses to monitor food allergies, and work with athletic teams and coaches.

    RCPS Food Services staff members have successfully transitioned to SodexoMAGIC. 

    The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) will be back for a second year.  There will be no changes to (CEP) because of the partnership with SodexoMAGIC.

    CEP provides free breakfast and lunch for all students at 19 of our schools.  Here's a list of CEP schools:

    Fairview Elementary, Fallon Park Elementary, Garden City Elementary, Highland Park Elementary, Hurt Park Elementary, Forest Park Academy, Lincoln Terrace Elementary, Lucy Addison Middle, James Breckinridge Middle, Monterey Elementary, Morningside Elementary, Preston Park Elementary, Noel C.
