Fallon Park's Art Teacher wearing a pirate hat and holding a book.Teachers and staff at Fallon Park Elementary did something a little different during Parent Teacher Conferences.  They set up stations around the school that included kayaks, tents, dinosaur eggs, and even pirates!

The goal was to spark more parent involvement and encourage students to read.  For example, students sat in tents and read books to one another.  Each adventure included a fun hands-on activity.  While sitting in the kayak, students fished for words.

Each child who visited at least three stations went home with free books.  The hope is students will read at school and at home.
