Valentine's Day

Two Fairview teachers holding their Valentine's Day giftsThere was plenty of love on display at our schools for Valentine's Day.  Thanks to the Baptist Community Center, every student at Fallon Park Elementary received a hat and gloves.  It is certainly a gift that will warm their heads and their hearts!

Westside Elementary hosted its 3rd annual Father/Daughter Luncheon.  It is a chance for dads to interact with their children at school and receive a good meal.  This event has become so popular, there is a long line out the door to get into the cafeteria.

There was also plenty of learning on Valentine's Day.  At Hurt Park Elementary, students used Valentine's candy to graph fractions.  At ROTEC, students put their passion to the test.  The Roanoke Career Technical Education Center hosted the SkillsUSA Culinary Arts and Welding Competitions.  The winners will compete at the state level in April.

We have plenty of pictures from the celebrations at our schools.  Scroll down and enjoy!
