Beta Club
BETA Club was established by Dr. John Harris in 1934 to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership and service among elementary and secondary school students. Our slogan is "Let Us Lead By Serving Others." James Madison Middle School has its very own chapter.
It is very important to us that our JMMS Beta chapter focus on the original ideals that were established for Beta clubs in 1934. Therefore, our true focus is on community and school service to make a positive impact on our world. In order to truly embody our slogan, members will be required to participate in 4 school community service projects throughout the school year. It is also a requirement that students have at least 10 hours of community service outside of school. Additionally, participants must maintain at least a B cumulative GPA and positive conduct record (Mostly 1s and some 2s on report cards/interims).
Students should take these requirements into account and carefully consider if joining Beta Club will be the right fit for them. If so, we can't wait to work with your child in Beta Club this school year! -
