Mrs. Lineberry and Mrs. McConchie (Two and Three Olds) - We hope all our families enjoyed their winter break! The first week or two back from break will be focused on re-adjusting to our classroom rules, routines, and schedule. Our next pretend play unit will be the doctor's office. We will be talking about the roles of a doctor, nurse, and patient. We will learn about bones and organs, look at X-rays, and name different parts of our body. We will learn about different doctor instruments and how they are used. This is always a fun and exciting unit for our kids! Academically, we are continuing to learn many early reading skills through our Really Great Reading and Heggerty programs. We are also learning math skills like counting, one-to-one correspondence, sorting, and number identification.

As the weather continues to get colder, please remember to dress your child in appropriate clothing (or send in backpack: hats, gloves, and winter coats).

Ms. Beisley and Ms. Durham (Four Year Olds) - Our preschoolers are learning about showing kindness toward others, upper and lowercase letters, shapes: identifying and making with Playdoh, what comes next in a pattern, reading comprehension and sequencing events in a story, beginning sounds in words and our names, and identifying feelings in ourselves and others.
